After talking to a friend, I realized something this Easter: the Cross leads to salvation, but the Resurrection gives us hope for a new life. We often focus on the cross, which is appropriate. But without understanding of the Resurrection, we merely exist as saved dead people.
Too many of us act like I did as a kid, never wanting to deal with another “church thing” but until you are struck by the power of the cross, I’m afraid you’ve missed it.
As we approach Easter this year, don’t allow yourself to hold onto the sins that so easily ensnare you. Go and sin no more!
