Home The Pursuit Blog “Thankfullness?”

So at church this week I was convicted of the fact that all last week, I never stopped to really be thankful for anything. Ring a bell? I was so busy with what I had to do with my week off and having family over, I never really stopped to remember what it was that I was thankful to God for. Maybe you didn’t get that opportunity either. But its not to late to be thankful for what I have, and to make that known. So here it is. Here is my list of what I am thankful for, and here is your opportunity to do the same. It is amazing feeling that comes from being thankful….

I am thankful to God for….
An amazing wife who loves me unconditionally
For two beautiful step daughters who have grown to love me so quickly
For the ability to pay my bills every month
For a car that starts when I need it to
For warm cloths in a cold place
For good health when I could be suffering
For friends who pray for me
For a great laptop and phone that I can do good things with
For the ability to praise my God through song
For all my sins being forgiven and guilt and shame being removed from me
For a roof over my head at night
For a family that prays for me and is concerned about me
For great scholarships that help me to be right where God wants me to be
For a wonderful small community that is safe for my kids
For a great church where I hear God speak every week
For the ridicule that I face on YouTube all the time that pushes me closer to God
For not facing physical persecution for my faith as my friends from other countries have to
For music
For life
For breath
For you reading this
For all of this I am thankful!

Now it’s your turn, take 5-10 minutes and just brainstorm. What is it that you are thankful for? It can be anything or everything. Now post it as a comment to this blog so that the world can see your thankfulness. As Christians it should be one of our defining traits: thankfulness.

Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:18
